Summer Dance Retreat
Inspired by the need he saw for dancers to be nurtured as artists, Kevin created the Summer Dance Retreat to inspire and rejuvenate working professionals. Hosted just outside Boulder, Colorado the retreat will focus on creating a space where dancers can rest, take class, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
Kevin will lead class, teach repertoire, and host discussions about the dance field and how to stay inspired while working in it. Teaching alongside him will be David Maurice, formerly of Ate9 and current artistic director of Cocodaco Dance Project.
All professional dancers are encouraged to apply as the retreat is provided at no cost to the attendees. Their sole expense will be travel to and from Denver International Airport. SDR will facilitate transport to the cabin, meals will be curated by a personal chef, and all dancers will be housed on site.
Kevin's vision is to support artists so that they will return for the 18/19 season with a new sense of inspiration, reinvigorated by your time at SDR.
In 2019 the Summer Dance Retreat will take place in:
• San Diego
• Upstate New York
